Winchester, UK - End-to-end power solutions provider for mobile and fixed-line network infrastructure and industrial applications, Eltek Valere, (Drammen, Norway) is partnering with key solar component vendors to become a one-stop-shop for telecom carriers seeking to invest in green and sustainable power solutions for wireless and broadband remote sites.

Eltek Valere's Global Sourcing Team (GST) has negotiated supply agreements with global vendors of solar panels, cyclic batteries and tracking systems. Using locally sourced peripheral hardware, Eltek Valere will be supported with its own product portfolio and those from its new partners to deliver complete solar and hybrid power solutions to both existing and new networks globally.

Eltek Valere has also released of the company's new Flatpack2 HE Solar Converter providing Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) to optimize energy utilization of the solar panels and galvanic isolation for improved safety and reliability. The solar converter is based on Eltek Valere's High Efficiency (HE) technology, delivering 96 percent efficiency and cutting power loss and heat generation in half compared to conventional technology.

The objective of a solar power installation is reduced total cost of ownership by cutting energy-related operating and maintenance costs, increased network reliability and reach as well as improved environmental performance. Eltek Valere's initiative smoothes out the logistics for carriers while giving them a system optimized for their needs.

"The technology is available to make solar power an effective energy source for telecom applications in remote areas with limited or no access to electricity grid," said Morten Schoyen, Eltek Valere Chief Marketing Officer. "We're taking a major step toward bringing this environmental consciousness into global telecommunications by providing a complete and viable solar or hybrid solution that service providers can implement quickly and that makes financial sense."
